How many times have you walked up to the entrance of one of the four Walt Disney World parks, scope out all the MagicBand turnstiles trying to pick out the fastest line only to get stuck behind someone with a MagicBand issue or confusion on the entrance process. Well, Walt Disney World Passholders will not have to worry about this for the upcoming busy holiday period! Disney has announced that passholders will be getting their own entrance at each of the parks! More details after the jump.
Let’s face it, those of us who visit Disney World often have the MagicBand entrance process down to a science. We know just how long to hold our band up to the Mickey and which finger to put on the pad. Disney has finally realized this and is creating a separate line for Annual Passholders. They realize that they will usually not have issues when getting into the parks. For those that do encounter issues there won’t be a cast member standing by to help out. Instead you’ll have to head over to a ticket booth or guest services. This can be a big drawback, but as long as your pass is not expired you shouldn’t have any issues! As of right now this exclusive line will only be setup during the holiday season. I’m hoping that Disney sees a benefit to this and make it a permanent fixture at the parks. I’d be ok with it even being in it’s own area similar to the bag check at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that no one ever uses! It’ll be interesting to see how this helps the inevitable congestion entering the parks, especially for Magic Kingdom.
