The ever popular Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams will be ending its almost fourteen year run at the Magic Kingdom. Disney has announced that a new fireworks show, Happily Ever After, will be taking it’s place on May 11th. What can we expect from this new show? Hit the jump for more details.
Wishes seems to be popular and divisive at the same time. There are those who absolutely adore the show. Many proposals are timed with the crescendo of the show so I can understand their connection to it. Then there are others (mostly Florida residents and WDW regulars) who don’t really care for the show any longer and wanted something new and fresh. I’ve seen Wishes a handful of times but I usually won’t stop to watch the whole performance anymore. The fireworks will be happening as I’m walking around the park and that’s how I enjoy them!
Well now there will be something to make everyone stop and watch the fireworks. Happily Ever After is a projection and fireworks show which will take place nightly at the Magic Kingdom. Disney has released a short video on the behinds the scenes development of the new show. I’m excited to see what Disney has planed and I know I’ll certainly be in the Hub staring at the castle rather than just walking around the park during the show!
