The construction of the newest transportation option for Walt Disney World guests is going strong. The Skyliner will give guests staying at Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach or Riviera resorts with a unique way to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Disney has announced that all Walt Disney World parks will be closing Saturday evening with hopes of re-opening on Tuesday morning. The resorts will remain open to house guests currently at Disney World. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be completely closing since guest accommodations can not withstand hurricane force winds. Guests will be relocating to other resorts. Hit the jump for details on the closure of the parks.
Two new major attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille, have been announced for Epcot. These were rumored to be coming and were officially announced during Disney’s Parks and Resorts panel at D23. Guardians of the Galaxy will be in Future World, while Ratatouille will be in the France pavilion.
There is one drink that is infamous at Epcot. It’s something that everyone reluctantly tries, or they trick others into trying! Even though I’ve always stopped in Club Cool while visiting Epcot in Walt Disney World, I’ve actually never tasted Beverly. Well, I decided to change that and to take you all along with me. The inaugural Epcot International Festival of the Arts is now running Fridays through Mondays until February 20th. I would classify this as a mini Food and Wine Festival. More details about the revamp of Soarin’ have been released today along with a video preview of the new destinations guests can expect to see on the attraction later this Summer. It looks like Disney plans to unveil the attraction at Shanghai Disneyland this Summer and then open the attraction at Disney’s California Adventure & Epcot in Walt Disney World on June 17th. There’s probably one question that I get asked more than anything else. That question is “What’s your favorite, or best, attraction at [INSERT PARK NAME HERE]?” This question is very subjective but there are certain attractions that I must experience every time I’m at Walt Disney World in Florida. Well, the rumors that we reported on back in May is finally come to life. Disney has announced new surge pricing for one day tickets and increased the price of the multi day tickets for both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. This comes on the heels of record profits for the Walt Disney Company, but is also possibly related to losses from the foreign parks and Shanghai Disney being way over budget. Disney has announced the dates for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival for 2016 and they’re good news! It looks like Food & Wine will be extended by two more weeks this year. The festival will run from September 14 – November 14 2016. If you’re a foodie & you’ve never been to the festival then you really need to get yourself to Epcot this Fall.
