After using the Quick Service restaurants in Pandora – The World of Avatar as a test bed, Disney will be expanding the newly added Mobile Order service to select Magic Kingdom restaurants. This mobile ordering service allows guests to order their food using the My Disney Experience app and simply tap a “I’m here” button at the restaurant to skip the line. Check out which restaurants will be getting the new service after the jump.

Walt Disney World is a place where lifetime memories can be made. Disney’s Memory Maker & PhotoPass can help get everyone in photos so you don’t have to rely upon selfies or one family member being absent from every photo. Memory Maker is a $150 add on (or $170 if purchased while you’re at Disney World) that give you unlimited photos in the park, attraction photos, character dining and of course downloads of these photos. Is that steep price worth it? I purchased Memory Maker to test out the service and see if it’s something that you should get for your next Walt Disney World Trip.
I’m not a fan of the Disneyland Resort’s FastPass system. I say this because I’ve become so accustomed to using the MyMagic+ system in place at Walt Disney World in Florida. I’m also a technology guy so being able to book, change and redeem FastPasses all electronically is definitely my preferred way to go! Well it looks like Disneyland Resort is sort of stepping into modern times…for a price. I guess that’s the theme of this week’s Disney news! Hit the jump for details on Disneyland Resort’s new MaxPass system!
MagicBands have been at Walt Disney World since 2013 and have been widely liked by guests. Disney decided it was time for a face lift and re-worked the MagicBand. The new bands look a little different than the old MagicBands but open the door to be worn on lanyards, key chains and more. Hit the jump for more details on the new MagicBand and the accessories you can expect to see in the parks.
Disney World vacations are most often thought of as family experiences that create memories to last a lifetime. Going to Disney World alone is not something that most people would think of or even consider. I’ve gone to Disney parks with both friends and family in the past, but had never been alone. This last October I decided to try out the parks on a “quick” solo trip of four days. Did the experience live up to my past trips and will I be repeating a solo trip to Disney parks in the future? Hit the jump for my experiences and how to make the most out of your solo trip.
Let’s face it. Everyone has been lost at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort at least once. These are huge places and they can certainly be overwhelming for first time visitors. I’m the “tour guide” whenever I take my family to the parks. In fact I came to realize that they weren’t paying much attention of how to get everywhere and really relied on me for that! Well now Disney has made getting around the parks and Walt Disney World a little bit easier. An update is coming to the My Disney Experience app that will feature navigation. Hit the jump for more details on what’s to come.
One of the most frequent questions I get about a Walt Disney World vacation is about the FastPass+ system. It can be a bit confusing. In fact, during one of my trips to Disney World, when MyMagic+ was still in the testing phase, we utilized FastPass+, but we ended up not using it to the fullest potential. This guide will show you the best ways to maximize your FastPasses & time in the parks. Hit the jump for all the details.
Disney has finally updated their website with a pretty big change. Guests are now able to make changes to their advanced dining reservations (ADR) without canceling.
